Simple
Strawberry Smoothie |
|
- 1 cup strawberry soda
- 1 cup whole strawberries, hulled
- 1 cup lemon sherbet
- Reddi-Whip whipped cream
- dash of ground cinnamon (optional)
- strawberries for garnish
- lemon for garnish

| In a blender combine
strawberry soda, lemon sherbet and whole, hulled strawberries and blend until
smooth. Pour into 2 glasses. Top with Reddi-Whip.
Sprinkle with ground cinnamon (optional). Garnish with strawberries
and lemon

Peanut Brittle Candy |
|
- 1 cup unsalted peanuts
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup white corn syrup
- 1 tsp. butter or margarine
- 1/8 tsp salt (omit if using salted
peanuts)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. baking soda

Stir peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt in 1
1/2-quart casserole. Cook on High for 7 to 8 minutes, stirring well
after 4 minutes. Add butter and vanilla. Blend well.
Return to microwave and cook 1 1/2 minutes more. Peanuts will be
lightly browned and syrup very hot. Add baking soda and stir until
light and foamy. Pour mixture onto lightly greased cookie
sheet. Let cool 1/2 to 1 hour. When cool, break into small
pieces and store in airtight container. Makes about 1 pound.
Hint: Do not store in plastic.
Best kept in glass or metal container. |
